It’s been an amazing flower-filled year for me and I have just one event left to flower for 2025 which is going to be an incredible winter castle wedding 💫

I’ve had lots of new followers just lately so I thought I’d pop on and say hi!

I’m Faye, and I’ve been flowering weddings & events and growing my own blooms to supplement this for almost 10 years.
Always a creative at heart, I attended art college and my first job was as an ornamental painter for Royal Worcester. After a 17 year NHS payroll career I found my way into flowers and growing which is why you’ll find my designs are always garden inspired and focussed on colour and interesting textures.

I’m based in the beautiful countryside near the small town of Bromyard, halfway between Hereford & Worcester. Weddings make up the majority of my work, and luckily I have so many gorgeous wedding venues on the doorstep and within an hours reach.

I’ve had some lovely bookings in the last week and one thing which we’ve all been chatting lots about is how we can repurpose flowers between wedding spaces.

Here’s a little throwback to last summer, when we flowered the huge doors of Hereford Cathedral for S&C’s wedding.
This gorgeous garden-inspired entrance greeted guests and was filled to the brim with hydrangea, scented sweet peas and roses, cornflowers, peonies, foxgloves, delphiniums and heaps of foliage!
Almost all the blooms were British grown and we utilised plants in wicker baskets for this foam-free installation, helping keep the design as sustainable as possible. The couple also kindly asked me to donate many of the flowers to @st_michaels_hospice after the day.

We later relocated every stem to adorn the marquee entrance in the palace gardens - quite a task with all hands on deck and a swift route through the cloisters whilst the drinks reception and speeches took place on the lawn.

Such a beautiful wedding which I have fond memories of and couldn’t have managed without the help of @jennyfleurflorist @katespottingshed @emilylou38 and @jdressingtable

One of my favourite colour combos, and one which seems to work whatever the season!

Charlotte & Fred’s wedding blooms for @bredenburycourtbarns right at the end of May this year included beauties such as the first of my garden roses - ‘Queen of Sweden’, ‘Hot Chocolate’ and ‘Chandos Beauty’ and smelt incredible combined with fresh sweet peas, philadelphus and peonies.

Sometimes simple and seasonal is really all you need, especially in beautiful surroundings.

Broadfield Court’s new/old barn space is a gorgeous spot which we wanted to make the most of for @davidliebstphotography to shoot yesterday, with dreamy October light flooding in from the stable window (which is staying but being glazed in the renovation).

We’ve styled the area to show you how it might look for a ceremony, using mainly material from the beautiful gardens - old man’s beard clematis & hops for a suspended cloud, rustic urns and containers for a sprawling backdrop installation, and simple aisle meadows filled with scented abelia, twinkling asters, cosmos and autumn foliage 🍂

Ah, how I loved making and delivering this delicate Autumnal bouquet for Sara at @broadfield_court this morning 🍂

I couldn’t believe my luck when one of my lovely local growers picked poppies and corncockle for me this week - a truly gorgeous selection of flowers so late in the season.

Sara’s bouquet was around 80% home and British grown, under 10 miles from the venue at that and filled with dahlias, phlox, roses, clematis tendrils, zinnias and textured dried stems & seedheads 🤍

Buds are still one of my most popular requests for table flowers. Perfect for grouping in clusters, they don’t impose but rather complement everything else you are likely to have placed in the centre of your tables - tapered candles, votives, glassware, table names, food sharing platters…

Only the best little stems end up in my bud vases and I love them - twisty, wild, scented, ruffled and full of texture & interest for guests to admire✨

Into this pretty floral mix went cosmos, dahlias, delphinium, daisies, eryngium and lots of foliage for a couple who LOVE blue!

Lots of the flowers I’m using this time of year are still homegrown or locally grown with a few supporting Dutch blooms. The dahlias are in their element right now and I’m looking forward to using more and more in the coming weeks 🙌

A quick look back at last August’s wedding moments - so much diversity!

I have 3 beautiful summer weddings remaining to flower this month before taking a quick break to return refreshed and ready to dive into autumn 🍂

Will & Megan’s day @hommehouse - a special day to play a part in and another highlight of my year so far.

I have provided flowers for both of Will’s siblings weddings in recent years and each time I spend time around this family it is a joy.

Megan chose summery pastels for the floral palette to match the bridesmaids dresses and with many of the blooms being locally grown, I was spoilt with dahlias, double snapdragons, malope, zinnias, hydrangea Annabelle, cosmos and much more for the bouquets and house arrangements.

I do still use a few imported Dutch flowers in my work, but English blooms and their colours are so unique - they bring that added magic and scent and always create the best arrangements!

The flowers (and I) are breathing a little sigh of relief that the temps are starting to cool off as I was starting to give up the watering game!

Cosmos, scabious and zinnias are loving the heat and the dahlias are making an earlier appearance, but I won’t lie, it’s been a tricky time these last few weeks for flowers and I’ve been glad to have had a slight breather on the wedding front.
Hopefully some rain will help everything start to thrive again in the coming days and bring a better balance ✨

June has been an incredible month for me, finished on a high with this stunning wedding at new @restaurantsow based on the glorious @netherwoodestate on Sunday.

A dream brief to create for my gorgeous couple - soft Icelandic poppies meets Ibiza vibes. This set up was so much fun 🤩

The canapés and cocktails appearing from the kitchen and bar looked insane and the whole team at Sow were a joy to work with.

Phew! Bit of a warm one yesterday wasn’t it?!

Congratulations to Hannah & Nick, who were married at @thedodfordinn - what a glorious day for them to enjoy an outdoor ceremony.

Floral meadows added natural accents to the aisle, repurposed afterwards for the wedding breakfast in the beautiful reception room.

Hannah was so flexible and had a chilled approach to planning her wedding florals with me, she wanted a seasonal, fresh look with pastel toned summer blooms. I’m pleased to say that most of these were homegrown and smelt gorgeous!

I’m so happy the earlier forecast proved wrong and that the May sunshine held out over Broadfield Court and the prettiest church at Bodenham - perfect settings for this gorgeous Herefordshire wedding.
